PJ Tibayan, Pastor for Preaching PJ: I grew up in a Roman Catholic practicing home and heard the gospel in 1989 when a lady told me that I would never be good enough for God and the only way to be forgiven of sin was through believing in Jesus Christ and not my good works. She read to me Ephesians 2:8-9 and I felt convicted of my guilt and called on the Lord Jesus to save me (and he did!). I served as first a youth then assistant pastor (2002-2007) at Christian Fellowship Bible Church in Walnut, CA (now in Covina) while completing my Master of Divinity degree at The Master’s Seminary (2006). I was a pastoral intern at Capitol Hill Baptist Church in Washington DC in the spring of 2008 before we planted CrossView Church in October of that year. I began serving at CrossView Church as the pastor for preaching under Jesus, our Chief Pastor on February 15, 2009. I’m happily married to Frances Joleen and have a son and two daughters. We pray God adds to our family. I love the Lord Jesus, my family, CrossView Church, all gospel churches, LA, viewing the city from Griffith Observatory, the Lakers, playing basketball, hip-hop, edifying Christian lyrics, wrestling my son and hugging my daughters, and along with my wife, watching Jack Bauer unrealistically, yet entertainingly, save the world.
